Alan Barnes
Alan (vice-pres of the Festival and artist in residence) makes his twentieth appearance at the Festival. Winner of many awards for saxophone, clarinet and band leading, Alan’s creative abilities have been increasingly expressed in his writing. Alan Barnes Festival Octet
The Festival has commissioned Alan to write a ‘Swanage Suite’ to celebrate our twenty-first anniversary, and he’s put together an absolutely brilliant band to play the music. Tina May will join the band for the later set of Alan’s arrangements of her choice of popular standards.
