Amy Roberts
'Rising Star' and '2009 Jazz Awards' winner Amy continues to delight fans at jazz clubs and festivals in the UK and Europe with her solo contributions and more recently with her swinging bands. Amy started playing while a teenager in her home area of west Cornwall, and gigged with leading bands on the traditional jazz circuit for several years, especially at the annual beanfest at Bude. She is now studying at the Royal Northern College of Music and her musical tastes have broadened, but she still loves to sit in with some of the top bands on the circuit. She joins The Antique Six and the John Maddocks Band, and possibly one or two more, for some inspired improvisation.
